News 4 names Courtney Bryant 5pm anchor


ST. LOUIS, Mo. ( -- KMOV has named a new evening co-anchor at KMOV, Courtney Bryant is now a permanent member of the News 4 at 5pm team alongside Claire Kellett. She will also have news reporting duties at the station.

In announcing the addition of Bryant to the team, Vice President and General Manager Mike Murphy said, “Courtney has done an excellent job filling in on News 4 at 5pm. Her ability to connect with the audience and her dedication to journalism has proven to be a great asset for News 4.”

Bryant first joined KMOV in September 2015 as a general assignment reporter for News 4 at 10pm, and Sunday night Anchor alongside Cory Stark.

“St. Louis has become home, and KMOV is a great place to work," Bryant said. "I’m looking forward to increasing my role at the station and doing more in the community.”

Before joining KMOV, she previously worked as an evening anchor and reporter at KBAK in Bakersfield, where she interviewed House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, covered the deadly Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo Crash and was on the front lines of wildfire coverage. Bryant spent time working in Israel, reporting for the Israel Broadcasting Authority in Jerusalem.

Courtney supports organizations like Do the Right Thing and the NAMI Walks, a benefit for the National Association on Mental Illness.
