Emma Hogg joined the KMOV News team in June 2018. She reports on various topics throughout the week and uses her keen sense of curiosity to search for answers, inform and educate the community.
Emma is a proud Jayhawk and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelors degree in Journalism. Before joining KMOV, Emma was a reporter and fill-in anchor at KWQC, the NBC affiliate in the Quad Cities. As a Kansas City native, she is happy to be much closer to home.
Throughout her career, Emma has had the opportunity to cover a wide range of issues; she’s interviewed national politicians, covered murder trials, severe weather and was one of the first reporters on the scene of a school shooting in Dixon, Illinois.
Emma credits several internships for growing her passion for journalism. She spent a summer interning at KMBC 9 News in Kansas City. During the summer of 2015, Emma had the privilege of pursuing a lifelong dream of interning at NBC Today Show in New York City.
When not reporting, you can find Emma running around town, quite literally! She has a passion for completing half-marathon races and is looking to train for a full marathon in the near future. She's not one to turn down a karaoke offer either, especially when it’s a rendition of her favorite artist, Frank Sinatra. Most importantly, Emma values time with family and friends.
Emma is so excited to now call St. Louis home. She is happy to be in the land of the Cardinals and Ted Drewes Frozen Custard! Feel free to reach out to Emma with a story idea, or just to say hello. Find Emma on Facebook | Twitter | Email
