Two Metro East men were arrested on Saturday and are facing burglary charges for allegedly stealing two cars.
Demarcus J. Sullivan, 22, of East St. Louis and Ronald C. Edwards, 22, of Belleville are both in police custody.
At approximately 11:25 p.m., the Shiloh Police Department responded to the area of London Lane and Berwick Circle in Belleville for a call of two subjects wearing all black clothing and acting suspiciously.
Upon arrival, the two fled on foot and split up. Eventually, police located the men and they were detained.
The officers were then contacted by dispatch and advised that a person was making a report of a stolen vehicle that occurred on London Lane, according to police. That prompted officers to bring in the pair for further investigation.
Later, a second person reported his car was also stolen in the same area of London Lane.
Upon the completion of police investigation, warrants were issued charging Sullivan and Edwards for burlary.
They're being held at the St. Clair County Jail with a bond set at $100,000 each.
