ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Three teenagers are in custody after an attempted armed robbery in south St. Louis.

Shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to investigate suspicious activity outside of the CVS on Gravois Avenue, near River Des Peres Boulevard.

According to police, the suspects attempted to rob the CVS and a 29-year-old clerk was injured in the process. Two 17-year-old boys allegedly assaulted the clerk as an armed 15-year-old boy stole items from the pharmacy.

The weapon that the 15-year-old had during the robbery was a BB gun, police say.
