One victim, identified as Traenez Brown Jr., 15, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second victim sustained critical injuries and the third sustained very critical injuries, according to police Tuesday morning. Police officials told News 4 all of the victims are under the age of 18.

"It hurts. It hurts for him to get killed," said Terence Johnson, who as a close friend of Brown. "He was like my brother. I used to hang with him every day."

Johnson said he was playing basketball with Brown and some of their other friends Monday. Eventually, Johnson's mom arrived to pick him up.

"I went home to sleep and my mom woke me up saying somebody died in Westwood," he said. "The only reason I didn't get hurt was because my mom came to pick me up.”

Wednesday morning, police officials said two juvenile suspects turned themselves into the East St. Louis Police Department late Tuesday night. Both suspects are being held at the St. Clair County Detention Center.

Police say they credit neighbors with helping them find Ramsey
