ST. ANN (KMOV.com) - Police said a teenage suspect who stole a car in St. Ann with three young children inside left them in a park before crashing Friday evening.
Authorities said a real estate agent drove into the area with her three children in the car to check out a house in the 4200 block of Wright Street. When she got out of her red GMC Arcadia to look at the house, the suspect jumped in and drove off.
The suspect dropped the children off in a park. According to police, one child is two months old, one is 1.5-years-old, and another is 3-years-old. A woman near the park spotted the kids and called police.
Police later spotted the suspect and started to chase him.
St. Ann Chief Arron Jimenez said they deployed their StarChase system, a device that deploys darts with GPS technology.
The suspect struck a white pickup truck and a empty Metro bus near the intersection of St. Charles Rock Road and Woodson Road.
Witnesses told News 4 police ran over to the SUV with guns drawn and arrested the suspect.

The suspect and a 7-year-old boy was injured in the crash. The boy was transported to the hospital by the driver of the pick-up.
The children have been reunited with their family, police say.
According to St. Ann Police, the car has been found and processed for evidence.
Investigators are still searching for the suspects involved.
