KIRKWOOD, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A suspect is being sought after a 21-year-old was critically injured during a shooting in Kirkwood.

The injured man was found around 1 a.m. Dec. 4 lying in the road near the intersection of Big Bend and Geyer.

When a News 4 photographer went to the scene, he noticed police were also conducting investigations at two locations, apartments at Big Bend and Bishops Gate and Attucks and Orleans.

Kirkwood police told News 4 the man was actually shot at the apartment complex at Big Bend and Bishops Gate.

Police said it appears the man drove to Big Bend and Geyer after he was shot and collapsed.

The Attucks and Orleans scene is also somehow connected, however police have not said how.

Monday, police said Marcus Marvel Tatum, 32, has been charged with assault, unlawful possession of a firearm and armed criminal action in relation to the shooting. They said they are actively searching for the suspect and anyone with information should call 314-984-6914.

No other details have been released.
