BALLWIN, Mo. ( – A road rage incident in Ballwin ended with one person in the hospital and a suspect on the run Wednesday night.

Ballwin Police Det. Scott Stephens said both cars were aggressively traveling on Manchester Road near New Ballwin Road when one of them pulled off to a side street and the other followed. After the cars pulled off on Birchwood, the suspect, who was a passenger in the suspect vehicle, and the driver of the other vehicle got into an argument, during which the suspect stabbed the 21-year-old victim in the torso around 8:45 p.m.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to police, there were two people total inside the suspect vehicle and only one inside the victim’s vehicle.

Thursday morning, police released two surveillance photos of the suspect vehicle, described as an older model (2002-2008) gray or silver Subaru SUV with Missouri license plates. The suspect has been described as a man between the ages of 24 and 29 with a slim build and roughly 5-foot-7. Police also said the suspect possibly has gauge earrings in both ears.

The drivers did not know one another, according to police.
