NORMANDY (KMOV.com) - Police say a suspect accused of shooting and robbing a store owner in Normandy is now in custody.
Treveon Martin, 23, was arrested Sunday and has been transported to a St. Louis County jail.
Police began searching for Martin following the grocery store robbery on Sept. 23. Police say Martin a 45-year-old store owner in the parking lot of the Fouta African Grocery store on Natural Bridge.
Police arrested another suspect in connection with the robbery but say Martin got away shortly after the shooting.
According to police, Martin followed the victim out into the parking lot and shot him in the back, as the man attempted to leave the store.
The victim, an immigrant from Senegal, is not being identified and is currently in fair condition in the hospital.
