LAS VEGAS, NV. (KMOV.com) – Four students were arrested after a massive brawl at a high school in Las Vegas.

Dozens of others were treated for exposure to pepper spray that police used during the incident. An argument between two groups of students quickly turned into a fight that grew out of control.

"When the violence starts rising past where they are not listening to verbal commands and or hands on commands then the use of pepper spray is appropriate,” said an unidentified officer.

About 45 to 50 people were affected by pepper spray, some of which needed medical attention. District police say cultural or racial differences could have been the problem.

This incident is the latest in recent string of violence hitting campuses. Police say that 12 people started the fight.
