The less than six-month-old ramen shop in Creve Coeur is getting national attention this month with a photo and article in the February issue of Food and Wine magazine.
Qui Tran opened Nudo House in July after years of research and development. When he heard from a friend over the weekend that a bowl of their beef pho was on the cover, he didn't believe it.
"I said the cover of what," Tran said with a laugh. "It's so surreal, I couldn't believe it.
Tran said while the cover and inside article featuring Tran's journey is exciting, he says it's even more exciting for St. Louis.
"Even though this is an incredible honor and opportunity for me, there's been so many people before me in order for us to get here. I never did this to get notoriety, I just wanted to share what I've learned and the food that I love with my hometown."
