ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- This weekend residents will find a plastic bag tied to their front door handle.

It's the 34th annual Scouting for Food Drive.

On Saturday, thousands of Boy scouts will deliver more than one million food donation bags throughout the St. Louis metro area.

Most needed food items this year are canned fruits and vegetables, soups and meals in a box.

Scouts will collect the donation bags November 17th.
