Fenton boil order

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – A precautionary boil advisory that was issued for parts of Fenton, and nearby section of St. Louis and Jefferson Counties due to a water main break on Bowles Ave. has been lifted.

Missouri American Water had been asking customers to bring water to a boil for three minutes before cooking or drinking. Water for washing and bathing was still okay to use.

Around 10,000 customers were affected. The advisory was issued Saturday morning.

The utility said it tested water samples and determined the water was safe for consumption.
