ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Emergency crews are en route to a portion of Highway 79 in Lincoln County due to road buckling as the St. Louis area is experiencing some of the hottest temperatures of the season.
A spokesperson for the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said there is heat-related road buckling on Highway 79, at Highway C, which is near Old Monroe.
The road is reportedly buckling in both directions. Cars are using the shoulder to get by.
MoDOT has crews are headed to the area to make repairs.
