Police are investigating after two people were shot during a home invasion in Belleville, Ill. Monday afternoon.

Around 1 p.m. authorities responded to shots fired in the 100 block of Glenview Dr. where a woman, 57, and a 27-year-old man were shot.

Both victims are related to each other. One of the victims was shot in the leg and another was shot in the stomach.

Police said the suspect confronted the woman in the driveway and then went inside the house where he had a confrontation with the 27-year-old man.

Police say the suspect suffered lacerations on his head. Both victims are in critical but stable condition.

A neighbor said one of the victims is a pastor that was scheduled to leave the country at the end of June.

Police are searching for a man in his late-20's to early-30's. The suspect left the scene in the white older model Impala, according to officials.

News 4 spoke with a neighbor who lives across the street who said he heard someone yell "call the police, call the police" near the scene.

The News 4 crew on scene noticed about half-dozen evidence markers in the driveway of one home.
