( – The family of one of the victims in a murder-for-hire plot to kill witnesses is speaking out.

Relatives of 16-year-old Noah Barnes are talking about the shocking revelation that was uncovered this week. Prosecutors say they have uncovered a scheme to kill witnesses to a murder.

“Justice is finally served with my grandson,” said Margaret White. “This was an evil, premeditated disgusting act that took my grandson. It not only took him, but my daughter.”

Barnes was killed in April of 2013, which led to his mother’s death a month later. Officials say she died of grief.

This week, however, the circuit attorney’s office charged Latasha Mopkins and her son, Tyrell Davidson, after they believe the two enlisted relatives to kill Barnes and another teen after they witnessed a killing in which Davison was a suspect.

“For someone to be cruel and meditate and plot on young children…is despicable,” said Jordette Barnes, Noah’s aunt. Barnes finds comfort these days be keeping her nephew’s name alive with the Noah Nation Foundation in south St. Louis.

The Barnes family says they are looking for the death penalty for the accused parties. However, the courts will have to decide their fates.
