Sheriff: Man dies after taking meth laced with strychnine

ARNOLD, Mo. ( - Arnold Police arrested a 37-year old Fenton woman and plan to seek charges against her for endangering the welfare of a child.

According to Arnold Police Lieutenant James Jones, the woman's 2-year old child was removed from her custody because of concerns for the welfare of the child. The child was placed in the custody of a relative. When the relative changed the toddler's diaper, they found a baggie inside with what appeared to be crystal meth.

At that time, the Children's Division of the Department of Social Services was notified.

The substance in the baggie was sent to a lab for analysis and depending on what it turns out to be, the woman could face additional charges.
