ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A man and woman were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in south St. Louis early Thursday morning.

Emergency crews on Germania Road following a single-vehicle crash.

According to police, the vehicle was believed to be traveling westbound on Germania when it left the roadway, struck a tree and spun around near Sharp Avenue at about 2:45 a.m. After crashing, the vehicle caught fire, trapping a woman inside.

Firefighters pulled the woman from the vehicle and were able to extinguish the flames.

A man was found outside of the car following the crash.

The woman was listed in critical condition and the man reportedly had serious injuries after the crash.
