MADISON COUNTY (KMOV.com) - An Illinois man who police say is responsible for five bank robberies in the Metro East area pleaded guilty to federal charges and reached a plea deal on Tuesday.

Dandre Brown, 30, was charged with aggravated robbery, several counts of financial institution robbery and motor vehicle offenses.

As part of his plea deal, Brown will not not be charged for a bank robbery in Missouri.

Authorities say he robbed numerous Metro East banks in November and December of 2017 and early January in 2018.

Authorities say he stole a total of $37,000

He was eventually arrested in Atlanta.

Sentencing is scheduled for February 2019.
