LADUE, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A husband is facing a murder charge after his wife was found dead in Ladue early Monday morning.

According to police, Robert Britt stabbed his wife, Georgia Britt, in the neck in the first block of Ferrand Woods Lane.

Following the stabbing, the husband was found with blood on him. He also reportedly admitted to his brother that he killed Georgia, according to court documents.

Court documents also state that the 78-year-old made a “spontaneous statement to a police officer that he killed her.”

Robert has been charged with one count of murder second degree. He is being held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.
