SOUTH ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Two St. Louis-area elementary schools are working to fight a public health crisis as part of an initiative called “No One Eats Alone Day.”

Experts say social isolation is a public health crisis precursor to bullying. In assemblies Thursday, Jury Elementary and Oak Hill Elementary learned about the negative effects of isolation and strategies for inclusion.

“No One Eats Alone Day” was started by the non-profit “Beyond Differences.”
