(3TV/CBS5) -- Calling all Star Wars fans! CableTV.com says it will pay one lucky person $1,000 to watch every Star Wars movie back-to-back before the release of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" on December 20.
That's a lot of screen time! We're talking ten movies and 22 hours, 25 minutes of distant galactic glory. You can watch them in chronological order, release order or any order you want.
Star Wars films you’ll watch:
-The Phantom Menace
-Attack of the Clones
-Revenge of the Sith
-A New Hope
-The Empire Strikes Back
-Return of the Jedi
-The Force Awakens
-The Last Jedi
The CableTV.com website states: "We’re looking for an entertaining Star Wars junkie with a Chewbacca-sized personality, the wit of Han Solo, and the smarts of Master Yoda . . . well okay, maybe not that smart. The chosen one must be an active Twitter user who is willing to share their Jedi wisdom and movie-watching experience while tagging the @CableTV team on Twitter. It helps if you’re also active on Twitch, Reddit, or other social media."
To qualify, you must be 18 or older and a U.S. citizen. The winner will receive every movie on Blu-Ray and a bunch of Star Wars gear, including a Nerf Han Solo Blaster, a Chewbacca onesie, and an R2-D2 popcorn popper.
The application is available online. It asks for 200 words or less about why should win. You don't have to make a video explaining why you deserve the gig, but it could definitely help your case! The website urges you to "point out parts of your personality that make you stand out from the crowd." You have until December 11 at 7 p.m. EST to get the application passed along.
This is not the first such paid movie marathon we've heard about recently. In October, Reviews.org announced it was hiring up to five people to watch 30 Disney movies and TV shows on the Disney+ streaming service in the 30 days after the platform launched on Nov. 12.
Those interested in applying were asked to answer a series of questions and create a video explaining why they’re Disney’s biggest fan. In addition to the $1,000 cash prize, the winner was to receive a movie-watching kit and a free subscription to Disney+ for an entire year. The kit included a mouse-themed blanket and a Pixar popcorn popper, complete with movie theater popcorn kernels.
And in November, the call went out for fans of Hallmark Christmas movies. CenturyLinkQuote was taking applications for what it called its “Hallmark Movie Dream Job.” The job included watching 24 Hallmark Christmas movies in 12 days and critique the lineup sans spoilers.
CenturyLinkQuote, which is an authorized online CenturyLink reseller, said the “perfect candidate” would love, Love, LOVE Christmas and be active on social media.
