Former President Bill Clinton visited Girls Inc. in Northwoods Wednesday as part of a three-stop St. Louis trip.

Clinton visited groups that are part of the Clinton Foundation projects.

The Eureka! STEM Education for Underserved Girls helps to expose girls to the science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields.

“They’re not only learning how things work they’re learning how to make things work, how to be creative,” Clinton said.

The students demonstrated how they've programmed robots, created a perfume and much more.

“I never thought in my life I’d get to meet a President of the United States and he was right there, I was interacting with him it was the coolest thing ever,” said high school junior Kendall Wise.

Clinton also visited Gateway Elementary School to promote nutrition and a Metro bus turned grocery store to promote food accessibility.
