EAST ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- An East St. Louis shooting left a woman dead and a man injured Saturday night.

Authorities said they received a call about shots fired in the 2500 block of Henrietta just after 7:30 p.m. 

When officers arrived, they found a woman shot in the driver’s seat of a car and a man wounded next to her. 

The woman, later identified as Cara D. Young, 34, was pronounced dead on the scene. 

The man was taken to a hospital and listed in stable condition. 

No other information was released.
