ST. LOUIS ( -- As local schools are taking extra precautions due concerns of the coronavirus, Crazy Bowls & Wraps stepped in to help communities in the Metro East and North County.

The restaurant is offered free meals to kids at their Florissant, Ferguson, Edwardsville and Shiloh locations, offering a quesadilla, drink, chips and a crispy treat. The served more than 2,000 meals during that time.

However, due to the fact many school districts are delivering meals, and given the extended stay-at-home orders, the company decided to discontinue the promotion. 

In a statement they said: 

"Being able to show each of our communities how thankful we are for their continued support over the years by offering free kids quesadillas meals has been tremendously rewarding. We were able to feed around 2,000 children over the two week period. We understand this was an important program for families, however due to schools implementing their own lunch programs for their students and the newly announced extended leave time, it is with a heavy heart that we are stopping this program. If you are in need of lunches for your children here is a link for additional resources for you and your family. Again, thank you for your continued support of not only our business, but all local St. Louis businesses."
