ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) - Upcoming construction work at Lambert Airport's Terminal 1 will come with some potential headaches for passengers.

The construction will create a temporary shift in passenger pickup areas starting Monday, Oct. 15.

If you're picking up passengers, you'll have to drive into the Terminal 1 garage and circle down to a pickup zone on the yellow level.

Drivers will be given a 15-minute grace period to pickup flyers.

"We do encourage passengers to utilize the cell phone lot until plane arrives and they have a chance to deplane so that can decrease the amount of time and prevent backups, " said St. Louis Lambert Airport's Public Information Officer Jessica Black.

The project will include resurfacing arrivals drive and rebuilding the staircase between arrivals and departures drives.
