ST LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Construction on a busy portion of Forest Park Parkway will begin Monday.
On Dec. 5, crews will close the roadway near Kingshighway to create a traditional four-way intersection, then they will replace the bridge over the MetroLink tracks west of Kingshighway. The affected area is near the BJC healthcare campus in the Central West End.
During the roadwork, the north to south lanes on Kingshighway will be open during the day, but limited north and south lane closures will take place overnight. Also, the east and west lanes on Forest Park Parkway, between Kingshighway and Euclid, will be limited to one lane in each direction.
Construction is expected to be complete by July of 2017.
Over 17,000 drivers use Forest Park Parkway near Kingshighway daily.
