2 accused of threatening to blow up Phelps Co. Courthouse

Two suspects are facing charges for allegedly threatening to blow up the Phelps County Courthouse in Rolla.

Bryan Riden, 34, and Melissa Hannon, 39, both of Rolla are charged with making a terrorist threat and tampering with a judicial proceeding. Hannon is also charged with tampering with physical evidence.

The two allegedly called the Phelps County Courthouse around 1:30 p.m. Thursday saying a bomb was inside the building. Everyone inside was evacuated and the building was searched but no bomb was found.

The two were later arrested. They are being held in the Phelps County Jail on a $50,000 bond.'
