ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) - On Monday, 120 St. Louis students not only got a free trip to the zoo but were also fitted for new sneakers.

Students from Dunbar Elementary in North City were fitted by 60 volunteers from the Assistance League of St. Louis.

The children also got new books and lunches as well as time to learn about the cheetahs at the zoo.

The Assistance League fits 3,500 students with new shows every year. The group hopes to continue to host the event at the St. Louis Zoo for all future fittings.
