Traditional 

2 oz Bourbon (Woodford Reserve recommended)

1/2-3/4 oz Demerara Syrup

Tops of 3 mint sprigs (or 5-6 leaves)

Build in a Julep Cup

Muddle mint gently, allowing to steep in the bourbon.  Add crushed ice.  Swizzle lightly. Top with crushed ice.  Garnish with bouquet of mint.

Blackberry Julep 

2 oz Bourbon (Woodford Reserve)

1/2 oz Rich Demerara Syrup

Tops of 3 mint sprigs (or 5-6 leaves)

3 Blackberries

Build in a Julep Cup.  Muddle Blackberries. 

Add mint then gently muddle mint.  Add crushed ice.  Swizzle lightly. Top with crushed ice.  Garnish with mint bouquet, blackberry and powdered sugar.

#Yousosalty: Tropical Coconut Pina Julep

2 oz Bourbon (Woodford Reserve)

1/4 oz Salted Spiced Pineapple Cordial

1/2oz Coconut Palm Sugar

1/4 oz Smith & Cross Rum

3 sprigs of mint

Build in Julep cup.  Muddle mint gently, allow for it to marinate in bourbon.  Add crushed ice.  Swizzle lightly.  Top with crushed ice.  Garnish with bouquet of mint, and dehydrated spiced Pineapple candy chip.  End with a drizzle of Smith & Cross Rum.
