Farming Ways of the Frontier is right around the corner! Come and join us for a fun day of learning and discovery! Admission is $5.00 per person.
Children 4 and under are FREE.
Come and visit with us at The Historic Daniel Boone Home where the frontier comes to life!
Browse through produce, plants, and crafts from local farmers and artisans who rely on many of the same methods as the pioneers once did. Visit with our living history interpreters in the various historic buildings and try your hand at various heritage activities such as fire-starting or paper marbling. The IL-MO Tractor and Engine Club will be on site to showcase various machines. Bring the family out for this fun and engaging event.
Try the following, fire starting candle dipping, marble paper, corn grinding, butter churning. See spinning demonstrations, wood working, cooking with herbs, hewing logs for a cabin, rope making, barter and trading, black powder demonstrations, land surveying, gunsmithing, brain tanning hides, tomahawk throwing and more. Visit the Boone Home and the school house, see garden activities and more. Food vendors: UKRAFT food truck, Mayberry kettle corn. KIDS VILLAGE: bird house making, frontier games and a pre-school area.
