COTTAGE HILLS, Ill. (KMOV.com) –Two suspects are facing charges after a man died after being shot during an apparent home invasion in Madison County late Thursday night.

Bradley Payne, 29, and Kevin Payne, 31, both of Cahokia are both charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and home invasion. Bradley has also been charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

Madison County Sheriff’s Office officials said Damian M. Huber, of Brighton, Illinois, was visiting someone in the 150 block of Oak Street in Cottage Hills when he was shot around 11 p.m.

After being shot, the 24-year-old was taken to the hospital in critical condition but later died as a result of his injuries.

Both suspects are being held on a $1,000,000,000 bond.
