SLUH 5-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo announces commitment to Texas
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - Ryan Wingo, a 5-star wide receiver from St. Louis University High School, decided on Wednesday where he is going to play college football.
Wingo is the No. 2 wide receiver in the country for the 2024 class, according to 247sports.com. In the four games he’s played this year, the 6′2″ wideout is already close to 500 receiving yards on just 32 catches, with four scores to add. Earlier in the season, Wingo broke SLUH’s school record for longest punt return (85 yards) and punt return yardage in a game (120 yards).
Last season, Wingo caught 41 passes for 785 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging almost 20 yards per-reception. In total, Wingo has amassed 2,062 receiving yards and 28 receiving touchdowns in his four years at SLUH, according to STL Today.
Wingo ultimately chose Texas over four other schools, which were Mizzou, Georgia, Colorado and Ole Miss.
