16-year-old among 3 charged in Washington Park homicide

EAST ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- Three people have been charged in connection with a homicide in Washington Park.

Peter Hester Jr., 36, was found shot to death at 47th Street at Caseyville Avenue around 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 8.

Less than a week after Hester’s death, the Illinois State Police Department announced charges against three people. Deantae Hoskins, 22, was charged with first-degree murder and armed habitual criminal, Cheyennea Hoskins, 26, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault, and an unnamed 16-year-old was charged with first-degree murder.

All three suspects are currently in custody.
