ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV) - St. Louis County is partnering with its libraries to help address the opioid epidemic.

Dr. Sam Page made the official announcement Thursday morning at a press conference at the Lewis and Clark Branch of the County Library. All county libraries will have Narcan available for free for those who ask for it.

Currently, Narcan is available at five branches; it will be available at all 20 branches by the end of the year.

Thursday is International Overdose Awareness Day.
