Woman shot 2 men who broke into South City garage, police say

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) - Two suspects were reportedly shot by a homeowner in South City after breaking into a garage early Thursday morning.

According to police, the homeowner was in the rear garage, which she is temporarily living in, when the two men broke in just before 3 a.m. When one of the men charged at her, she shot him and ran out the door of the garage in the 2100 block of Stansbury Street. The second suspect then started fighting with her, and the woman reportedly hit him with her gun and he was shot in the hand.

Both suspects were taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

No other information was released.
