Man charged in South City shooting

ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A man was charged Tuesday after two men were shot and killed in south St. Louis.

The shooting happened in the 6100 block of Alaska around 11:45 a.m. The men were not conscious nor breathing when officers arrived on the scene.

Police later told News 4 that the two men died. One of the men was identified Monday as Marcus Terrell Calvin, Jr., 19. The second man’s name has not been released, but police said he is 21 years old.

Qwanzell Watkins, 23, was arrested and charged with two counts of 2nd-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action.
