My cat of 16 years had just passed away and I had went out of town the following weekend. The ice maker quit working at our apartment, so my brother and roommate went to the gas station for ice. While there, a tortoiseshell cat was roaming around so they decided to bring her home after the gas attendant mentioned he was getting ready to run her off. A couple hours after returning home, the ice maker began to work again. Once at the apartment she made herself at home and even would lay in the areas of my previous cat. She walked around like she belonged there from the beginning. She was given the name Godiva, which means God's Gift. I would have never gotten her if the ice maker would have been working.
