Hello all of you at Channel 4 News and Viewers;
We are Scott Turner, beth Maddy, and son Nick Turner; we decided to make the best of the ice the snow plows piled up on our driveway and yard by making an ice fortress. I am a mechanical engineer and so I thought that while having fun I could teach my son a little about structural engineering.... We made the ice wall at about a 10 to 15 degree angle and added flying buttresses for support to help us climb higher.... here are the results.... Thought channel 4 would like these pictures...:)
