I was just putting my son down for a nap when all of a sudden his windows and door started shaking violently. I yelled at my husband to ask what was going on, and he told us to go to the basement. He just watched these two full grown oak trees crash right outside our yard. We didn't know what was going on. We are guessing it was the straight line winds we hear about. We own a farm right outside of Owensville and we had many large trees down and tin off of our barn. It was scarier than all the tornadoe warnings we have been through lately. We are just thankful it didn't damage more.
This happened in Gasconade County on Sunday July 3. We watched this tree fall right outside our yard.
