Gray Cranes flock under a shining rainbow at the Agamon Hula Lake in the Hula Valley of northern Israel on February 14, 2011. More than half a billion birds of some 400 species pass through the Jordan Valley to Africa and back to Europe when summer comes. Some 30,000 Gray Cranes stayed this winter in the Agamon Hula Lake instead of migrating to Africa, taking advantage of the safety of this artificial water source.
