(KMOV) – A St. Louis Public School District employee has been placed on administrative leave for “professional misconduct,” the district announced Monday.

According to district officials, allegations were made against an employee at Soldan International Studies High School.

Officials would not confirm what position the employee held at the school, though the district did inform police and Missouri DFS.

“In keeping with District policy, upon learning of the allegations of misconduct the individual was immediately placed on a leave of absence and the district reported the matter to local law enforcement and the Missouri Division of Family Services for further investigation,” said St. Louis Public Schools Spokesman Patrick Wallace.

There have been no charges in the case, and the employee is on paid administrative leave will the investigation is ongoing.

We have attached a letter sent home with students Monday addressing the case. Parents also received an automated call about the incident.
