ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – Police are searching for a suspect who shot and killed a woman and critically injured a man in a Dogtown neighborhood on Thursday.
Police were called to the scene in the 6600 block of Oakland Avenue just before 6 a.m. and found a woman shot to death outside her townhome.
The woman was later identified as 26-year-old Tequila Sanford.
A man was also found with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to an area hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.
Both Sanford and the man were involved in a relationship and lived at the home.
According to St. Louis City Police Captain Michael Sack, the shooting did not appear to be a domestic dispute or a murder-suicide attempt.
Further details into the investigation have not been released.
