ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – Police are investigating after someone was robbed by a Metrolink station near the Barnes-Jewish Hospital on Monday.
According to police, the robbery happened at the Metrolink station in the 500 block of south Euclid Avenue on Monday afternoon. The victim, Harold Shropshire had just gotten off of an eight hour shift at Hardees. He was walking from the Metrolink Station to a bus stop when the alleged incident occurred.
Police say a green four door sedan pulled up near Shropshire with three men inside. The person sitting in the front passenger seat then got out with a gun in his hand.
"I Instantly gave him everything I had on me, everything. My $35, my phone and my work bag," Shropshire said. "What do I have in my pockets, what do I have on me? I told him nothing. He said 'you're lying I'm going to kill you."
Shropshire said he braced for the worst.
"I'm fixing to die. They were just so serious. I thought i was going to go," Shropshire said.
Police say the man got in car and left after taking the items from Shropshire. Even though Shropshire was not harmed he said the incident left him shaken.
Police are still looking for the suspect.
