OLIVETTE, Mo (KMOV.com) -- The City of Olivette is introducing a new system for emergency alerts for its residents if a tornado or other threats pop up.
The city has signed a three year contract to have a service send phone and text alerts to everyone who signs up. The voice alerts will go to phones and text blasts will be sent to both phones and e-mail addresses.
The city says this is a more effective way of communicating directly with their residents. Residents can sign up through the city’s website or call city hall to have the system explained.
