ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- A man wanted for a murder almost two years ago was behind bars Wednesday night after turning turning himself in.

News 4 was on the scene when Robert Hopkins walked into the East St. Louis Police Department after seeing his mug shot on a billboard along Interstate 70.

Police say Hopkins and Christopher Rush were shot after breaking into a home in 2011.

Rush was killed, and now Hopkins is charged with his death because it happened during the commission of a crime.
