WASHINGTON COUNTY, Il (KMOV.com) -- The sheriff’s office in Washington County has identified the second man found dead along a stretch of Interstate-64.

47-year-old Darryl Jackson is from St. Louis, and police say he has had run-ins with the law.

Several agencies are now investigating the deaths of these two men. St Louis police say they’re meeting with Washington County investigators to determine if the two crimes could be connected.

On Tuesday Jackson’s body was found on the southbound side of I-64 at mile marker 40 near the Okawville exit.

The Washington County Coroner says Jackson was murdered. Just 16 days earlier, the body of 29-year-old Kelvin Swigler was found less than a mile away.

Swigler, also from St. Louis, was reported missing by his mother who told police she last saw him with an ex-girlfriend back on August 25th.
