BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) -- The city of Belleville is spending $159,000 to buy a vacant building just so they can tear it down.
The city council approved the deal Monday night. On Tuesday, Aldermen told News 4 they don’t like the plan.
Many are questioning why the city would buy one property in particular when they already own so many vacant buildings.
