ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – Four students from Parkway South High School were injured when two school buses collided in Manchester Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said the accident happened around 3 p.m. near the intersection of Hanna and Big Bend.

Officials said two Durham school buses were transporting students back to the city when one bus apparently rear-ended the other.

Parkway School District spokesperson Cathy Kelly said the students were taken to Mercy Hospital with minor injuries.

The exact cause of the wreck was unknown.

Officials said both buses are believed to be drivable and may be used to take uninjured students home.
