St. Louis (KMOV) - A gunman opened fire in a south St. Louis neighborhood, a bullet striking a woman inside a home.

The spray of bullets hit two homes in the 2700 block of Queen Avenue.

The woman is recovering, but she still has a bullet in her leg and will have surgery in the next few days. Police believe the shooting was drug-related, and the woman shot was not the intended target. Authoritiesbelieve say the shooters were after someone in the house next door.

Police in the 2nd District say they have several strong leads in this case. As of Thursday evening, no suspects are in custody.
